Arrive anytime after noon. Find your welcome letter from the ‘Inspector’. There could be a task for you to complete. Then relax, introduce yourselves to others, have a drink, lunch, maybe a stroll on the beach or in town. At 3pm, put your game face’ on. Traitors will be chosen. The challenges begin, tasks, trades and traps. And of course, the banishment table! Form your alliances, for tonight at least one of you will be taken or even worse!
Day Two
Who has gone? Who was taken in the night? Was anybody murdered? Breakfast will be interesting for sure. You will each be invited, one at a time to join the survivors in the breakfast room. Eat well, because you are going on a trip, dress comfortable but best bring your coat!
Today, we seperate the wheat from chaff. Do you have what it takes toshow you are a true Caulkhead?

Well that was a crazy night, who would have thought! We find out at breakfast who were taken, or worse last night and the finalists have been decided.

Origin of Games Such as 'Caulkhead or a Traitor'
17th Century Shipwreck
The original TV show in this genre was first shown on Dutch TV and it was called ‘Mutineers’. The inspiration came from the story of a shipwreck. In1629 the Batavia, a flagship vessel owned by Dutch East India Company crashed onto a coral reef off the coast of Australia, and 300 survivors made it to a small island.
When the ship’s captain left on a rescue mission, his deputy, Cornelisz, secretly orchestrated a mutiny. Cornelisz and his loyal henchmen began systematically murdering the other survivors. Because the survivors were stranded on a remote island, they had no idea who was part of the mutiny and who was still loyal to the captain. Everyone had to lie, and nobody could be trusted.
Classic party games
East Europe and Asia
The game is called Mafia and has Gangsters as the bad guys, a police inspector who runs the play and players have to route out the bad guys. It is actually a cultural phenomenon with Mafia Clubs all over East Europe and Asia.
Western Europe, China and Japan
The Mafia is replaced by monster that looks like a normal villager by day but transform into Werewolves by night. There are even themed escape rooms in China and Japan.

The regular events are open to hotel residents and island residents (without accomodation) throughout the year at different venues across the island.
Exclusive Events
Exclusive events can be private groups of friends or families, clubs or corporate events. We handle the games for the hosts. You can find more inforation about booking your excusive event HERE

How Much Does it Cost to Take Part?
All prices are presented under every event listed on this website. Some hotel events will have the participation fee included in the booking price. Where islanders are taking part without accommodation, they can pay here online or at the event venue.
Is There a Prize?
The covetted shield comes with a reward! Depending on the participation numbers and type of event, the prize fund is announced prior to play commences.
Do I Need to be Physically Fit?
There are some physical team events, walking, light weight lifting, but the host will take into account any concerning factors. However, the biggest part of you thet will be tested is your cunning.
Can Couples Enter?
We do not wish to be named in a divorce and it could be considered and advantage over single players. So, unfortunately no. But couples do stay at the hotel and one tales part while the other enjoys the venue and the island or just watched the events unfold as an observer.
What If I Am Voted Our the First Day
The murdered and eliminated over the events of ‘Day and Night One’ will realise their fate the next day at breakfast. These player have an option to cancel their second and third night stays and receive a room cost refund. However, most stay to enjoy the fun and some even help the organisers.
